No problem......
In Response To: Thanks for your feedback. ()

Larry,

It always seemed strange to me that if I talk about any bottom paint I get a few mixed messages about good or bad. But talk about a new (or new to most) and I get all kinds of comments. I AM an old school type guy, still use paper charts and have a sextant and all, but I am willing to try something new once in a while. Since we can no longer use TBT, I see all kinds of people going in all directions. In Mexico I saw people use Roundup, and pepper stuff and some black ????? magic mix and never got as many comments as I did about just plain old copper. In the days of wooden ships and iron men, many ships were coated in metallic copper sheets. It worked for them for years. So I can't see as how this new slant on it can be all that bad as long as it is applied the way it should be.

Also, note that I did try a copper mix of my own making that did NOT work! So just adding copper to any old epoxy is not good. The packages that came with the CopperCoat state that you use water clean up for the epoxy! Also, once applied to the hull you can NOT get the hull wet (even with dew or rain) for 48 hours and then I need to scrub the bottom with scotch bright before we drop in.

I will keep everyone interested advised!

Greg
