Stainless steel anchors

I can't find any photos of it, but I once recovered a stainless steel CQR anchor whose shaft had broken about 7 inches from the end due to crevice corrosion. The boat had been anchored right next to us at Suwarrow (Cook islands) and the wind was blowing 20 kts or so. Fortunately, it was in the middle of the day and the couple were onboard, noticed it immediately and were able to crank the engine up before they went on the beach.
