... have you ever come up from Southern Bahamas to Florida via the Santaren Channel keeping Cal Sal Bank to port ? We've often thought about this route from the Raggeds, but for one reason or another have not ever tried. I would think with the current push the entire way, it would be shorter if making the run non-stop, plus I think the distance is shorter as well from say the DR, by the time you wind up zig-zagging around the Bahaman island chain, no ? If you ran into trouble, far fewer places to stop if any any for fuel, water, parts, weather, entertainment ... I guess is one drawback.
