My system has a test circuit. The sensor lasts
In Response To: Xintex detector ()

for several years and, in fact, only fails when I screw up and spill water on it while cleaning my bilge. I've had it installed on my boat for years and replaced it twice. Both times it failed because I got lazy and didn't remove it wile cleaning the bilge. I have it installed low in the bilge to provide me with the earliest possible warning so it's subject it damage if I'm not careful. It's plenty high enough to stay out of the bilge water but sometimes gets wet while I cleaning out the upper bilge areas. I'll spend the money to replace it once in a while for the extra protection a low down location provides.
