So, please let us know about "the internal adjustement" issues

I don't think that is "smart charger"? If it isn't, I'm not sure you'll be happy if you really cruise with the boat. As you may know, a smart charger will open the recharging cycle with a programmed battery-type bulk charge, then shift to a tapper slightly lower level, and the float at a lower-still level.

In any event, if you do call Raritan to find-out what the "internal adjustment" means, please let us know (I'm curious).

Otherwise, you might buy a simple 40 or 50 amp smart charger and be done with it. Set it for Gel Cells and have your batteries last longer, as well as, hold more of a charge.
