The new, new batteries are in fact Interstate Marine group 27 lead acid deep cycles(2) that were put in the boat a few weeks ago. The former owner is not very forthcoming on information which I find very odd. With our old boats I always provided every scrap of paper I had to the new owners including all manuals, schematics and receipts for important items. It seemed like the right thing to do. That's what we got with the Islander as well. This guy gave me manuals for a toaster, a fan, a pair of range finding binoculars and a coffee maker, none of which came with the boat.
