The system is wireless. It came with an Android tablet as part of the package to be used as the helm repeater. The rate of change in marine electronics is nearly overwhelming, I don't even try to keep up anymore. He sold me his 5 year old C-series for a song, a huge upgrade from my 15 year old Furuno Radar and the Standard Horizon 150C.
