When we were cruising in the tropics every tube of glue, silicone, can of paint, resin hardener and most other expendibles of that nature would go bad in a year. I opened up so many tubes and cans that were bad (and needed) I just started throwing them out and replacing them every year. The only expendables that were good longer were cans of spray paint and some 2 part stuff like JB Weld.

Normally refrigerating the stuff would help but there was no room.
