Wow! That was close (NOT)
Smooth for the KIWI boat
It's amazing to me, how many of the elements of America's Cup racing are completely ABSENT from this series...

Yes, the sail handling in AC went downhill ever since they got rid of the clipper ships
I don't think Jon watched them or maybe he'd have noticed that the main element of Americas Cup racing IS missing
The wing twist is an active control
Cranking the winches.
There are lines there, not all of them are man(ual) super-duper Lewmar carbon fiber hydraulic pumps
Lots of very good points, as always...
I agree about the AC72 being overboard
That's another very good point...
IMHO, The best Americas Cup race was in the movie Wind
Yeah, I like that movie. Haul it out from time to time for a viewing..
The AC in Newport; what happened on the course was only part of the fun
There have been more lead changes in the first four races than in the last three contests combined. Yup, that is boring.
This article neatly describes the sail handling and crew coordination
IF New Zealand wins, will they return the AC to more conventional monohulls (or even cats)?
They may return to monohulls
I think the biggest change won't be the boats, but will be Nationality ...
Everyone has a 'down under' accent.
Most Americans don't sail, and have little connection to sailing...
I was against them but have changed my mind.
