But I doubt they would be what you would call "more conventional".

The technology in single-purpose, single event racing boats has gone way beyond what one would think as "conventional". Heck, even the canting keel monos are pretty much catamarans, as they bring the entire keel bulb out of the water and to windward of the hull. If the boat can be sailed flat, wings make much more sense and are far more efficient.

Whatever the next ACC may bring, I doubt it will look like anything we have seen in the past.
