Add to that the roller furling headsail until it feels right. We've had only 6' of headsail in 35 knots doing 8+ on our 40,000 lb boat and there must have been no more than 30 feet of sail out while we screamed downwind for hours. It's almost strange how fast you can go with so little sail. If we added even a reefed main to that the boat would have been out of control.
