I know many will not be able to read the article because they don't subscribe to the digital Times but a synopsis is that faced with plunging prices and perhaps increasing regulation some of the fiercely independent lobster men have joined a Union to protect and help them. A surprising thing. Its as if 5000 independent businesses joined together to form not a trade association but a Union! I'm, going to look for the Union flag on the lobster boats when I visit Maine next summer.
