they settled out of court, I think we got a bit less than $100 settlement. And the behavior continues. But I'm sure some law firms made pretty good money on it!

It is interesting with all the handwringing over the Affordable Health Care act. It is modeled tightly on the Massachusetts plan for which there is now 7 years experience. A number for recent poles there suggest overwhelming (like 90% +) satisfaction with it. Though they did have glitches with the early implementation, just like now.
