Notice that 4 out of 5 distress calls yesterday

Were effectively withdrawn as the boats advised that they had some problems but were handling them independently.
Seems that some sailors were perhaps a bit quick in using their modern electronics.
Referring to the other comments on this board the weather seems to have been rather snotty, but not dangerous.
We have sailed through the Gulf Stream a dozen times. Twice in snotty weather, with lots of banging and spray. Once the high water in the bilge alarm went off
Seems like this time is similar, with some excess excitement, but no disasters.
Unfortunately, some boats are too flimsy, probably oversold, or are unprepared

I expect that most or all, the SaltyDwag boats will make it OK, with a few diverting to Bahamas or the US ( where repairs are easiest)
