Fein tool or clone does a nice job of removing core..

() I use my Porter cable clone to trim bungs. You never have one trim off below the surface on one edge with the Fein clone. Unless you want to spend a lot of time looking at bungs, you will invariably trim a few off below the surface on one side with even the sharpest chisel.
