Paddleboards

aren't very attractive to me. Probably because it's seldom quite 'warm enough' here in the PNW. The water is "Maine cold" (except in Desolation Sound) and the air usually has just a little 'edge' in it. Warmer climes, perhaps, I'd try one out but it seems to me that the odds are pretty high that I'd get a tad bit damp before I got back to the mothership.

On a side note: While I'm not a safety cop, what is the deal with no one wearing a life jacket on a SUP 'boat'? I sure wouldn't 'want' to, neither would I want to get ticketed, but that would be another reason for not liking a paddle board. It's sort of like having to wear a helmet while riding a bike or motosickle. And yes, a case can be made for all of the above but it t'ain't natural and coming from an era and a day when freedom was freedom without a sweaty helmet or lifejacket, I've adjusted poorly….
