Cruising Sailors Forum Archive

True, that's why I differentiate between coastal sailor and cruiser.

The later packs up the stuff of life and moves onto their boat. I'm the former and sail pretty lightly, in comparison when it comes to what comes aboard. It's hard to justify bringing a SUP, or a folding bike for an overnight or a weekend, but you might take them for a few weeks, if they're worth the effort.

How seamlessly and quickly I can get onto the water, completely escape and enjoy the best of the best coastal sailing has to offer, then re-enter my life onshore as effortlessly as possible, is something I think about.
