Before you add refrigeration, think about your power budget. Adding solar or wind or up-sizing your alternator/house bank is way more $$$ than the refrigerator.

Assuming you've got that worked out, consider an Engel. Much more efficient than a unit with vertical door. If you've got a place to put an Engel, then you'll still have the spaces you just wrote about for storage.
