Boats like this are interesting 'amenities' and I sense a small trend toward this type of boat.

Replacing large cruising/charter type boats, boats like this are also large, but they're not quite as cumbersome in their use and care(expensive, but that's relative). The owners are not interested in floating homes(they have enough of those in prime locations). Maybe trend toward more 'event' driven use(?), such as growing races for boats like these?

They'll still "cruise" a bit if needed, but it will be short term at most. I know a few full on captains of boats like these.
