While I think they had their problems initially, overall I believe Russ was happy with the boat and build. They didn't get around the world, but they did get through the canal, out to Polynesia and back home to California. Spending $2M on a custom boat which later sells for much less isn't a new phenomenon in custom boatbuilding. You don't do this as an investment. My own Anomaly will probably be an even worse investment, because the boat is odd and that limits the buying audience - though I don't intend to sell her.
I have a soft spot for Isobel because she carries the very first Anomaly Automatic Headboard sold (beyond the prototypes on my own boat).
