Very easy to go aground here but mostly soft sand and mud
Your description last year here made me want to try it.
I've always done overnights at the north end along the beaches
What about my 28' beam?
You won't catch me going through in my tri

I might try to get over this summer
I did. I recall it takes about an hour.
Can 6 foot draft get through at low tide?
I don't think so, Mike.
Most of the moored boats along the canal are very shoal draft.

You should be okay at mid tide. At low, there's only a few spots that will get you and then just wait an hour

The area between Boston and Portland ME
I've been skipping that area. If I want to sail more, I have to slow down, and stop trying to go somewhere.
That makes a lot of sense to me
