And a three block walk to the National Mall.
Mt Vernon was a bit steep for traveling by boat. They wanted 2.00 a foot from 9 - 5, no over night on the dock. Would have cost us $50 for the day.
We anchored off and dinghied in. The dock masters were not pleased with the fees- since parking cars was free, so didn't charge for tying up the dinghy. Still worth the stay.
