() but by the time he's done with it -- it will probably cost more than the replacing the sheave; and, it will be harder on the hands to use.

- I wouldn't, bad wear pattern would weaken rope halyard prematurely..I'd replace the sheave or use what worked before.

- No - that's a wire only sheave.
- all sorts of chafe issues for rope with that sheave and sheave box.
