() I'm familiar with the combo sheaves but this one didn't look like it was a combo but only wire with a guide flair on one side only.
I told him to check the room and swap it out if he was going to change to all rope.

- I wouldn't, bad wear pattern would weaken rope halyard prematurely..I'd replace the sheave or use what worked before.
