My holding tank pumpout is the same Guzzler 400, however mounted horizontally - and the flaps hang down (I did the installation). In 25 years, I've had to replace the diaphragm once (recently). I'm amazed at how trouble-free this pump has been - especially considering the service. Wonder why the difference in service experience?
