() It shouldn't be an issue, but the transmission of the vhf at 25 watts (after inefficiency for the transformers, etc.) is pretty standard for a 6 amp fuse at 12vdc. I don't know what the effect of other stuff on top of the standard 25 watt might add (like a hailer, for example or the DSC or other functions.)
If the radio manufacturer has the 6 amp fuse, it should be okay -- but, none the less...a couple of extra fuses just in case might not be bad idea where you can find them in moment's notice. ;^))))
