to back this up, it would seem to me that my old pump would burn many more amps as it compresses the air in the accumlator wih the pump peaking out just prior to switch activation. This pump just cruises along never really working. I guess we could put amp meters on them to find out.:-)In any event, I'm pretty happ with mine.
