Good point Brian, but since I am moving the fixture I am going to spring for led.

Getting back to the earlier coregs thread I watch many sailboats motoring with their masthead tricolor light on here in alameda with the steaming light on under the tricolor. I agree that while motoring particularly with my setup of 2 alternators the power is not an issue.
