I had both a Westerbeke 4-107 and a Perkins 4-108. They were both great engines and they never let me down. Not once over a combined 24 years. But now i have a Yanmar 4JH4E and it is absolutely like night and day. Powerful, reliable, smooth, quiet. It's like the 21st century versus the 20th century.
