In the housing field, alternatives, new tech, it's all exciting! People want in! That's expensive(unfortunately).

But what they don't realize is, without conservation as well, you go nowhere in curbing energy demands. We want it all!

Oddly, the boat industry in new design hasn't addressed conservation actively. I think it could be a marketing tool for sailboat builders. But that field has shrunk so much of late. Power boats are expected to be energy hogs.
