I'd like to go around Vancouver Island. I've been up the outside but never very far on the inside.

It's mostly a time off issue. Right now it looks like a person would want to go north on the inside and south on the outside since it's been blowing a near gale from the NW out there 24/7 for a few months straight. When we went up there way back in 81 it was early season and we had SW winds all the way.

I like your new old boat. When you think about how long it takes to get places in a sail boat power boats look pretty good. Power boaters are doing most of the serious cruising around here.
