Hi Jon. Yeah I was there. Seems like a lifetime ago. I liked that HR53 of Bernies. I imagine he was able to sell it as new except for the butt mark on the table:-) But honestly such a boat is far too complex to be of interest to me and far too expensive for me to ever have the opportunity to be disappointed by the fragility of it's incredible complexity.

These days I'm into tearing systems out not doubling down on the upgrade to the new version of the updated fully redesigned version.

I don't post much of anything anywhere these days. As the years go by I feel like I know less and less about anything.

I still like the forum idea though but just don't have a lot to contribute.

Last year our big boat was out of the water so I built a model of it and designed a autopilot for it. Even though the design turned out to be all my own I got a lot of information and ideas from the Cruising Sailors BB. I also found a lot there about OpenCPN which plays a central role in that story of mine. OpenCPN is the shiz and I'm glad there's such a strong community of support over there at the Cruising Sailors BB.

I'm perusing here now and then recently to see if I can help with anything but you guys have it pretty well in hand. Besides other than autopilot PID controllers and diesel heaters I don't really know anything.

If I can I'll try to get back into the Wednesday picture thing. It's been a while since I've been taking pictures.
