in the original position. BUT, I CAN change the impeller in place if I decide to. At least I could (and did on one occasion) with the original Speedseal. I am not sure I can now with the Speedseal Life as it has more internal parts. But I think it is worth it. With both the old pump housing and the old Speedseal I could see wear on the inside of the plates.

However, most of the time it's a once a year process and I go ahead and adjust the belt tension on it and the FWP at the same time.
