I'm pretty sure the screws were bronze. But they just disintegrated. I don't even know how many were still good when I found the problem. Seemed like all of them were probably bad.

A bag of those screws and regular replacement sounds like the way to go.

Does anyone have an idea of how many hours to go on an impellor before replacing it? I've been going now for about 8 months on the same impeller.
