Bears little resemblance to the toys one typically sees in West Marine, it's really quite a high quality rig. Aluminum frame, 20" wheels, 8 speed, Shimano derallieur and other components... When I fold it up to stow, by removing the front wheel and seatpost, it reduces the size to a pretty tidy package... by no means an off-road bike, but on any decent surface, I'll bet most would be very pleasantly surprised by the quality of the ride...
