And the 20" is a better ride, but the difference isn't huge (it's more about fit, as I'm tall) and both suffer from low directional stability at very slow speeds compared with the 26"+ wheels or larger bikes. Also, neither inspire confidence in quick sudden maneuvers such as last-second object avoidance or emergency stops. Needless to say, the smaller the wheel-- the more sensitive it is to potholes or curbs or sand/gravel.
That said, they're both very rideable and I consider them a great choice for portable transportation. The ride is good enough to be really enjoyable.
Also, my wife and I both find the standard seats to be a bit numbing after a long ride. I recommend you research alternative "comfort" seats.
