Must be a mirror server somewhere giving you a hard time.

How are other websites?

I do recall having a similar problem with CSBB some time back... other websites worked quite fine, but CSBB was just terribly slow. I finally cleared my cache, and reset all my routers and pointed to different DNS server, before I got satisfaction.

I am using win 7 64 bit on a new machine... so I have nothing in the cache and few cookies. I do however have my router pointed to google for DNS service... (per the link above). It could be that your local ISP is giving you poor DNS listings as it has not refreshed in a while... it does happen... especially when IT professionals just use ping to determine if a server is still on line, although it may not be refreshing properly, or linked to all the other hosts properly. (I ran into this at one job site over and over again... my desktop unix box would not see other hosts and IT would ping it and say "well it's up..." Sigh... sure, but I can't do work on it... )

But for me, CSBB is working quite well.

Maybe you need to see if anyone else in your area, using your same ISP, is having issues.
