LED flashlights out now it makes my head spin. BUT I can't seem to find the one I liked the most! It had 3 AAA batteries and 1 (one) LED. It was not super bight, but way more than enough for use in the cockpit at night. And with the 3 batteries it would last us over a year as we went down the west coast. I replaced the batteries and used it for another year and a half before I just killed it by having it in my pocket almost all the time. Now they have 3 or more LEDs with only one battery and they do not last as long.

We DO carry 2 like the ones you show with our SCUBA/snorkel gear and the greater light IS much better for UW work.
