My very old multi-meter is starting to act oddly and is time for an upgrade. I hear that Fluke is one of the better brands to get for boat electrical troubleshooting, but when reviewing the number of models available, I am overwhelmed by the selection. I would appreciate any guidance on a good multi-meter for performing typical boat electrical troubleshooting tasks. Would you recommend a Fluke as a good brand or are there other manufacturers that I should be considering? Which particular model would you suggest? I also noticed there seems to be a lot of additional options available - is there anything that you would suggest as a worthwhile option? Any particular features/functions beyond the basics that all the models carry that should be on my "must have list"? Although my primary purpose for the multi-meter is for use around the boat, I will occasionally use it working on my cars or around the house. Any recommendations would be appreciated - thanks
