I think most are fairly accurate. My last purchase was an Extech EX330 which I like. You might also want to look for a DC-clamp ammeter function, as that can be useful on a boat. If you could get one that will hold a peak reading it would allow you to see start up loads for electric motors (starter/winches/windlass).
