Interesting discussion. I've sailed from the tip of Texas to the Louisiana border

and cannot recall ever seeing a mooring for a pleasure vessel in Texas waters.
Can't recall one in Louisiana, Mississippi or Alabama either. Did use rental moorings in various places in Florida. Made a lot of sense to use them when cruising. Sure saves cleaning anchor chain

- The mooring is clearly identified with my name, the boat name and the town number...
