I agree 100%.
And I would like to add; anyone putting a permanent tent; opps mooring on public land and thinking they now "own" that place is beyond rude. It doesn't just happen in the US. In Panama there are many moorings added by cruising ex-pats and they now think they own that spot. I actually told one individual who was gone that if his mooring effected my anchoring he would find all the hardware on the beach. If memory serves me correct, even with a mooring, if someone anchors and you pick up the mooring after and you will effect the boat that is anchored first, in the US the mooring vessel is the burdened vessel! People trying to steal anchorage access just get my goat. They need to learn to anchor and share!
