Kayak rescue, yes... We pulled a couple out of the water in the tide rip at the south end of Vashon Island earlier this month. There were some judgment errors involved. The good news was we got to try out the Lifesling. Bad news was our cooling intake sucked in a kayakers hatch-mounted dry bag. Engine cooling was fine until after we dropped them off in Gig Harbor. We ended up hauling the boat there to clear it and do a good inspection and bottom cleaning. The dry bag was probably from the same guys. Much gratitude for the rescue but not so much as an email of thanks later. As friends have said, "No good deed goes unpunished!"
