She was very open and kept up a stream of conversation as she went right to work preparing our appetizer course of steamers and butter. In short order we were handed up a big bowl of steamers that kept the 5 diners on our two boat raft busy while she visited the two other boats for their steamer course. We had just settled back after emptying the last shell of it delicious contents when she came back from her appetizer rounds, tied up to us again and got busy cooking. While she sautéing a chicken dinner for our one non seafood lover, she drained and cracked four large boiled lobsters (pulled that day) and arranged it all artfully. Soon we had a sumptuous feast of lobster (or chicken), black bean salad, corn on the cob picked that day, and wonderful homemade biscuits. She then went off to feed the other boats while we dug in to what was one the best lobster meals I’ve ever eaten. Her black bean salad could have been a meal by itself. Her biscuits were as good as they get, these were mostly saved for breakfast because there was so much food. She made her other diner rounds while we ate; and came back almost to the second we were done. We passed over our trash and next selected from several pie choices for dessert. We all chose her blueberry hand pies, which are like a blueberry calzone, with perfect buttery flaky piecrust. These were as good as it gets and like all her other food, made from locally sourced ingredients. One of the other boats was really smart and got some extra pies for their breakfast.
