We do, Westie. But we lose pieces of it all the time.

With no architectural review of what you can do, anybody can buy these buildings and tear them down and build contemporary housing. Nice houses, they're just in the wrong place. But many people and their architects don't see our harbor and village that way. This project was a double bonus for me, I live across the street. I expected this old house to get torn down. It was just luck a client I had worked with decided to buy it and restore it. On details, she was happy to defer to me and my wife as to what looked good.

The old building to the left with CMCA on the front, was just closed on yesterday. It's been a museum of art for decades. Before that, it served as the towns fire department for a century. It's historic and a unique piece of the old street scape. But you can buy it and tear it down and put up what you want.

Luckily, a guy and his wife down the street just bought it because they were worried what would happen to it. They want to preserve it and keep an art focus inside. Phew, what a relief.
