I suspect the Awlgrip would crack at every joint, due to wood movement, UNLESS, and you didn't say, it's covered in a layer of glass. .From the description, I'd think not.

Also. ALL that enamel should be removed and the surface primed pre AwlGrip

And Awl Grip is VERY expensive. Had to get a quart last year for a boat I was doing touch up on. Starting cold, a quart of paint wound up costing him $200, by the time we got paint, reducer, and catylst.

I shot my own boat with a two part poly when I restored her, but now have switched to brushable enamels on the cabin and cabin sides, ,and Imron on topsides. Imron can be rolled and tipped. Awlgrip can't.
