I always enjoyed Jon's writing immensely. He had a quick wit and a wonderful style. I never understood how he had the time to write as much as he did, and achieve a high level of competence in many fields. I was amazed by his single handed sailing to challenging destinations regardless of the time of year.

I never had the pleasure to meet Jon but feel like I got a sense of him through his writing and photos. This board won't quite be the same.
