To record stuff you need to have an "out" port on your TV..but most of the new TV's don't have one!! I think deal was made between the movie industry and the TV manufactures. Before all my Tv's had at least one out video and sound port some had two for different levels of quality. New ones don't!!! I bet someone is making a small transfer device you could hook up to do it but I haven't found one yet.
