With the fast download speed, I was wondering if you could download to an external right off it. Probably have to put a Netflix device between. There is no use for downloaded movies anymore except it might be nice to have an external hard drive to store a few movies to have on the boat? We always say things like this but in the end when we don't have this stuff, we're just as happy to read there.
I remember Iain on RUFFIAN was a master at loading up his external HD's with films which he and Fiona would watch, at sea or at anchor(they rarely had good -if at all-internet access). He would have things downloading for hours and hours when connected to a good signal.
With this fiber optics 20X's faster download speed, I would think it would be a matter of minutes.
I put my son on it, he's not sure. There's networking capability from this router that we don't get yet. And now the old Roku boxes have to be set up-there are some issues with those, that he's working on.
There is no waiting for anything online now. Not only fast but we had many issues with several devices clogging up the wifi. No more.
