In National Parks there are prohibitions. They don't want the natural environment having 40 drones buzzing all over the Grand Canyon, Yosemite, or Old Faithful, etc.

I think there is a requirement now to register each new drone. That's so if the drone gets "caught", they'll get to the owner.

Now there are ways that they can get to the owner through other investigative means, it just makes it easier.
